Am sa studiez problema mai serios.Oricum deoarece eu vin dinspre Barcelona acest traseu il voi face in sens invers adica de pe Coasta de Azur voi urca spre Elvetia ( Lac Leman ) , cred ca asa este mai mult de urcat decat de coborat ! Oricum voi face poze de pe traseu si ti le voi trimite!

mai astept raspuns de la cineva din olanda despre acest traseu facut cu un motorhome. sincer ,e superinteresant si cred ca merita facut.dar nu in graba.

I've done all the lower half from Val Cenis to the Med with a caravan (and over Mont Cenis into Italy) If you feel competent and confident in tackling steep hairpins and narrow mountain roads there is no problem. You will need plenty of torque for some of the bends which slow you so much you are doing a standing start on a steep tilting slope although none of the gradients are excessive as such. I had a Citroën C5 2.2 HDI the first time and a Hyundai Terracan 2.9 diesel the second and third times both pulling a 155kg van. I've also done the Colle della Maddalena and the Col de la Bonette in the northern half but can't above there. Be cautious descending long downhill stretches. The weight of the van may keep the hitch compressed applying the van brakes and this will cause overheating.

I have done parts of this route and much of it is possible with a well matched outfit. However some of the passes are unsuitable for caravans eg Galibier, and caravans are prohibited on others eg Cayolle. If you haven't already got it the Caravan Club Touring Guide of Europe it has very useful information about the major passes.

Also pay particular attention to what Beejay says about van brakes they can get very hot! Take advantage of any laybys to let your brakes cool down.

Era ziua fetitei, nu iesisem cu masina noua din tara niciodata, asa ca sotia a aranjat tot si nu am mai putut schimba decizia.

A fost super frumos.Apropo merci mult de informatiile in legatura cu Grand Route des Alpes.Am citit ce au scris cei din Anglia si ma tot gandesc la faptul ca nu masina va fii o problema ( doar car cu ea platforma de 2800 kg ) ci faptul ca la o coborare prelungita degeaba ma duc cu frana de motor , masina nu pateste nimic dar intra in functiune frana inertiala de la caravana si se vor incalzii franele acesteia!Eram hotarat 100% sa fac traseul dar acum tot stau sa ma gandesc cum sa fac !Oare va rezista rulota ?That is the question !

La asta ma gandesc si eu.Pe 16 august am rezervare in Spania,la Blanes,de acasa plec pe 7-8 si ma gandesc ce traseu sa aleg pana acolo.
